Pastor Joseph Mwamba

My name is Joseph Mwamba, I am the Senior pastor of the Victory in Jesus Church in Canada. I am married to Rachel Shako and have two boys. Along with my wife, we are serving the Lord.

Early life and conversion

My journey with Christ started in 1983, while I was in a Christian High School. I attended a Christian school and we used to have student services every Thursday morning. In one of the student’s service, the message was so strong that I could not resist but decide to follow Jesus. And that morning, I decided to received Jesus as my Lord and savior. since then, I am attached to the Lord.

Calling to the ministry

My calling in the ministry was noticed by my pastor few years after my conversion, because I was so committed in the youth ministry. I worked as a youth leader, a prayer group leader then evangelist in my local church. Through evangelism ministry, I visited many countries such as Angola, Namibia, South Africa to preach the gospel and help to plant churches.

Ordination

I was ordained in the pastoral ministry in 2006, with the Peniel Christian assemblies in Edmonton, Alberta, which was led by Pastor Rene Tshibula.

Ministry training

I received a diploma in Biblical studies in 2011 at Ames International School of Ministry (AISOM), in 2014 I received a certificate of continuing ministry at Christian Leaders Institute (CLI) and 2017, I received a diploma of theology at Canadian Christian Ministries Theological and seminary and presently, I am completing my Divinity degree at Christian Leaders college.

Ministry Journey

I am the senior Pastor of Victory In Jesus Church in Canada, I am a church planter and I run a TV program on GoLive TV in Toronto

Personal life

I love spending time with my wife, traveling and I love music.
